Basics
What is Kindwillow?
Kindwillow is a white-label app for funeral homes and cremation services. Each service gets a page in your home's name where the family approves what goes out and guests RSVP, share memories, send flowers, give to a fund, and help with meals. Your home keeps the relationships that come from it.
Do I have to replace my website?
No. Kindwillow rides on top of the website you already have: a QR code at the service, a link in the obituary, and a link in a text. Keep your site exactly as it is.
Does it work for cremation?
Yes, including direct cremation with no service. The memorial page, the obituary, and in-app pre-planning all work with or without a gathering.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. Guests open a link on any phone. There is no account and no download.
Can I try it before I talk to anyone?
Yes. The director side opens with no account, set up with your home’s name and four families already on the board. Create a free account whenever you want to keep it.
Families and guests
Isn't a memorial app solicitation of grieving families?
No. Families opt into a service they want: RSVP, memories, an obituary, a place to send flowers. It is never a marketing campaign, and every message is one tap to stop.
What do guests get texted?
A guest who RSVPs with a number gets the reminder the evening before and any change to the plans. Notes after the service, like a thank-you or a one-year remembrance, only go to guests who tick an unticked box asking for them.
Who sees the family's home address?
Only helpers the family says yes to. Claiming a dinner or a ride does not show the address. The family sees the name first, and the coordinator sends the address once they approve.
Does the family have to approve the obituary?
Yes. The obituary is a draft until the family approves it on their phone, and nothing is published without them.
AI and the MCP server
What is an MCP server?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard way AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT connect to outside services. Each Kindwillow home gets its own managed MCP server so assistants can find the home and start planning with it.
Do families need to set anything up to plan with AI?
No. The home's MCP server is discoverable by AI assistants on its own, with no app, account, or connection needed in advance. Once a case is underway, families can self-serve as far as the home allows: pick a date and time, adjust services, see pricing, pay an invoice, and invite guests.
Does AI make arrangements on its own?
No. A licensed person at your home always finalizes the arrangements. The assistant starts a plan and your staff take it from there.
Pricing and territory
What does Kindwillow cost a funeral home?
A flat monthly fee: $149 per month per location at the founding rate, then $249. There is no per-contact pricing and you can cancel anytime. A share of the flowers, gifts, meal trains, and donations families send comes back to your home.
What is territory exclusivity?
Kindwillow works with one home per territory. When yours is the only home an AI assistant can truly plan with in your area, your chances of being the one it recommends go up.
Who owns the contacts?
Your home does. Every guest who leaves a way to reach them becomes a contact you keep and can export, always.
See it with your own home's name on it.
Open the director side with no account and no call. Type a name, watch the page build, and click anything.
